Manchester United to Sign AC Milan’s Defender Thiago Silva and Bayer Leverkusen’s Goalkeeper Rene Adler?

Manchester United are reportedly planning to sign AC Milan defender Thiago Silva during this summer as cover for the long term injured Rio Ferdinand.

The £16m rated defender told Gazzetta dello Sport:

“It’s great to have my name linked with a club like Manchester United, who are currently one of the cornerstones of European football. Without doubt, I am having a very good career and hope to continue progressing. But at the moment I am just thinking about the Scudetto, which has become an obsession for me.”

Caughtoffside also claim the Red Devils is looking into the possibility of signing Bayer Leverkusen’s 26-year-old shot-stopper Rene Adler as Edwin Van Der Sar's successor.

The £15million-rated goalkeeper has established himself as one of the most stable and consistent performers in Bundesliga and helped Leverkusen up to second in the table.
