Chelsea moved to within nine points of leaders Manchester United with a game in hand, thanks to a comfortable 3-1 victory at Bloomfield Road.

Frank Lampard scored a brace, including a penalty shot, in the second half after John Terry gave the Blues a first-half lead. Jason Puncheon scored a late goal for Blackpool, but it was merely a consolation.
